Kiara Bear - Five Months

10:54:00 PM

Well, this is by far one of the late posts of Kiara's Monthly Update. "Shocking".

Things have been crazy around us. Our longest trip, travelling in the plane, weather change, dealing with Kiara's cough and cold situation in India, I have lost my mind trying to cope up with my blogging and collaborations.

As far as our flight journey, Kiara did a great job by sleeping throughout the journey without any crankiness or crying. We requested for a bassinet in the flight (Emirates from Chicago to Dubai), but  she couldn't sleep much as there was a lot of turbulence for almost 9 hours, so we had to hold her throughout.

I have gone through a lot of emotions in the last couple of weeks. Motherhood is freaking tough. Kiara has been going through sever cold and when we consulted the doctors in India they, suggested some antibiotics which the doctors from US strictly said no. So, we had to deal with her situation without any medication and it took almost like 10-13 days for her to completely recover.

My hair was falling out like crazy for complete 2 months, but now its lot more better. I am trying to do all the things at once and unfortunately, not completing any of them. i just need to learn how to relax, prioritize and complete the tasks. I am way too exhausted both mentally and physically, but somehow just surviving our stay here in India.

In good news, we started solids a week ago (more about that in a separate post) and I think it's definitely helping. She is super interested in foods. This little bear wants to eat everything we are eating. We are using Similac Supplementation Formula to mix the solids. Kiara is eating for every 2 hours. I am breastfeeding and also formula feeding when we are out.

Kiara loves to watch rhymes and listen to me singing. She is pretty much interested in all the toys. She loves to hold us and play with our faces. She would just spend hours grabbing our faces and screaming if she could. She started crawling to grab things.

We still have no issues with her sleep. She sleeps throughout the night and wakes up whenever she is hungry.
