Diwali 2016

7:23:00 AM

Diwali is the most important auspicious festival in India. On this day prayers are offered to Goddess Lakshmi. All the homes in India are lit up with diyas or lamps and Goddess Lakshmi is invited home. The welcoming of Goddess Lakshmi, signifies the arrival of general wealth and prosperity. From Ladoos to different types of sweets and gifts are exchanged between friends and family.

Diwali is one of our Major Festivals in India. On Diwali night, we dress up in new clothes and light up diyas (lamps or candles) inside and outside Our home. We perform Lakshmi puja, after that fireworks follow. Then a family feast including all the sweets prepared and an exchange of gifts between family and friends.

On this Diwali I wore this lovely red Lehanga from Craftsvilla.
